BIOGRAPHY

Patrick was born in 1997 in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire and moved to Glasgow in 2015 to study a BSc in Physics at the University of Glasgow. After gaining an interest in quantum physics, Patrick went on to study the Quantum Technology MSc which is where he first met Daniele Faccio and the Extreme Light group. After graduating he began his PhD in October 2020 working with supervisor Dr. Hugo Defienne. His main research focus is to develop new methods to shape the spatial entanglement of quantum light with the goal of improving and developing quantum imaging schemes.
