Interferometer development laboratory

Interferometer development laboratory

Locations: 211a (control room) and 211b (cleanroom).

This facility contains an interferometer test bench, housed in a vacuum system in the clean room. It includes two 10 meter arms and a shorter arm, all of which usually contain optical cavities under test. Interferometer configurations based on both transmissive and diffractive principals are constructed and tested. The control room contains most of the control electronics and operator workstations.

An overview of recent activities can be found here (pdf).
