Introduction
The next collaboration meeting of the
European Twisted Mass Collaboration
will be
held in Glasgow.
The meeting will be held on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th September 2008.
Meeting location
The meeting will be held in the
Kelvin building
in the room 323. The room is in the third floor, turn right
into plush new corridors of labs. This is different room to first advertised.
There should be information at the entrance by the porters office where the
meeting is.
Google map of the area with the Sandyford hotel and the Kelvin building.
Travel
There is information on how to get here on
the
local web pages.
(including information on the two airports close to Glasgow.)
The 747 bus serice from Glasgow airport goes down
Sauchiehall Street.
Edinburgh is only 40 minutes
away by train, with trains every 15 minutes, so flying into
Edinburgh
may also be an option.
Accomodation
There is some information on
hotels.
I recommend you first try to stay
at the Heritage hotel
now that the
Sandyford Hotel
is full.
Both hotel are close to the University and have free wireless.
Agenda and who is coming
There is a simple list of
participants.
Wireless
There is wireless in the Kelvin building. It requires a
simple password to access the system. The password will be
distributed at the meeting.
Food and coffee
The department will provide a sandwich lunch
and coffee in the morning and the afternoon on Tuesday
There is a wide variety of restaurants close to the University
for eating in the evening. Please let us know if you have any special
requests, such as wanting to try haggis.
Unfortunately I have been unable to find all forms
of traditional Scottish food, but maybe some traditional Scottish
drinks
may be of interest.
