Theory seminars
Theory seminars are usually held on Wednesday (alternating with the departmental colloquium) in room 220a of the Kelvin building. They are organised by Jonna Koponen.
Speakers may find these directions useful.
Lunchtime informal particle physics seminar
An informal particle physics seminar over lunch, for both experiment and theory. These are organised by Lars Eklund and Jonna Koponen and are generally held every second Thursday at 1pm in the SUPA video-conferencing room.
Departmental Colloquia
These are formal colloquia where prestigious invited speakers address the entire department. All postgraduate students are expected to attend! Organised by Sonja Franke-Arnold and held every second Wednesday during term, at 3pm (doughnuts from 2:45pm!) in lecture theatre 222 of the Kelvin building.
Nuclear Physics Experiment Seminars
The experimental nuclear group at Glasgow hold seminars that may be relevant to people trying to solve non-perturbative QCD.
Edinburgh Particle Physics Colloquia
Edinburgh's particle physics groups hold their seminar series in the James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB), King's Buildings, Edinburgh at 2pm on Wednesdays, though the day sometimes varies. These are sometimes broadcast to the SUPA video room, and if not, Edinburgh is only a short train ride away.
