[JRA1-UK] RE: [LCG-ROLLOUT] R-GMA problem

Hi

There is a known problem with the registry.  If there is a site behind a
firewall or is responding extremely slowly this causes a backlog of
messages in the registry.  Unfortunately the backlog of messages to
dodgy sites grows faster than the registry can get through them.  The
result is that consumers do not get notified about new producers.  An
identical problem occurs in the archiver.
A fix is currently being tested by the R-GMA team and will be available
to LCG by the end of the week.
