Dear colleagues,

the deadline for the final report for JRA5 as part of the
HadronPhysics I3 is
tomorrow. I have been very busy with teaching and examination duties
over
the last weeks and have only managed to write this report today. I
therefore
hope that you don't mind that I have submitted it without iterating it
with you.
In any case, most of the text was cut-and-pasted from the reports of
previous
years anyways. In any case, I'm including the submitted final report
below.
As you will see, I've tried to keep it short - which on the other hand
of course
also means that I have left out a lot of things that we actually have
done over
the last 5 years.

This entire endeavor has involved a lot of paperwork for not so very
much funding.
However, I believe that overall it was still worth the effort, and
there were a
few things (like the GPD2006 and GPD2008 workshops) that we could not
have done otherwise. And a few postdocs had jobs (or had their jobs
extended)
that otherwise would have had no funding. Especially in the light of
the current
recession I see this as not unimportant. Plus, I am very glad that I
got to make
all of your acquaintance.

Right now we are waiting for he HadronPhysics2 contract from Brussels
and
I expect to see at least some of you at the to-be-expected kick-off
meeting in
Frascati. In which case we should find a nice restaurant and empty a few
bottles of good red wine together.

Greetings from Glasgow,
Kind Regards,

Ralf
