Sample preparation and cleaning facilities
The lab has facilities for cleaning samples prior to analysis. These include a heated ultrasonic bath for cleaning in solvents or ultra-pure RO water. The lab also has a large clean room compatible oven which can be used for bake out of vacuum parts after cleaning, max temp 600o C, or a 3 litre furnace max temp 1500o C for higher temperature baking of smaller parts.
